Jïnnaïar

Possibly the most mysterious of all the races on the planet, the Jïnnaïar are a faction of the Vaïar. The Vaïar were the first slave-race created by the Lánaraï – but deemed a failure by their would-be masters. Like their southern cousins, the northern-dwelling Jïnnaïar have little care for their own wretched lives and dedicate themselves to maintaining the balance and natural state of the world. This is a difficult task, given the bellicose nature of the dominant races on Vónekh VII.

It is unknown what drew the Jïnnaïar to the extreme north, to the isolated continent of Nharán that lies beyond the frozen ocean north of the Coast Of Thorns. It is suffice to say they found something there. Something they will strive to protect at all costs. A knowledge of something that drives them to work tirelessly to save the world and everyone in it from their own greed and stupidity. They now exist only to serve the greater good, at whatever cost – theirs or someone else’s.

A strange trait of the Vaïar and their kin is that they rapidly adapt to the natural environment around them. In the frozen and bitter north, the physical bodies of the Jïnnaïar have faded almost to nothing, leaving them as what can only be described as living ghosts.
