Entombment Of The Násr
For years, the Kheïtanni believed that the Násr were forever lost. If their masters were truly immortal, they were far beyond reach. They were not a people who would hold and treasure a spark of hope, however small. Grim and consumed with the tragedy of their own fall, most of the Kheïtanni simply assumed the Násr to be dead.
Yet far below the shattered earth, beyond the light in vaults of stone the Násr slumbered. Entombed in their machine-vessels of carved starsteel, they too had survived the fall. The halo-shaped wave of darkness that erupted from the Void at their behest had struck with such agonising psychic force that it had robbed them of consciousness. Now they slept,
The titanic forces of their impact had driven them far into the deepest places of the earth. There they would rest, their resting spirits lying dormant for six thousand years before they would be discovered.
