Glossary

Telár

The Telár are the ancestors of the Aëdr, who rose to prominence on the planet of Telarhïs Prime.

Aëdr

The name Aëdr is used to describe the empire as it swelled beyond the bounds of Telárhis Prime to cover most of the local galaxy.

Amensï

Amensï is a collective term given to all lesser intelligent and semi-intelligent alien races encountered by the Aëdr during the Expansion Wars. Most were eradicated or subsumed into the empire in servitude.

Faënar

The Faënar are not a creation of Rhïarrh in the same sense as His earlier experiments. Rather, the are effect of His rage and will reaching out from the Void into the material universe.

Holórhïn

Better known as the Star Titans, terrifying beings each created by Rhïarrh from the death of an entire star system.

Ihrysïnn

A small group of Rhïan who were slain and reawakened to serve the will of the Star Titan Unnakharesh.

Jïnnaïar

A small subset of the Vaïar who attained spirit form and now dwell in the northern polar regions, protecting the Symmetron.

Kheïtanni

Those Aëdr who fought with the Násr against Rhïarrh in the War in Heaven. They awoke years after their tragic fall.

Lánaraï

Those Aëdr who fought with Rhïarrh in the War in Heaven. They were left stranded on Vónekh VII.

Lulúkhaï

The unquiet spirits of former Aëdr warriors who fell in the cataclysm. They are doomed to fight forever, even though they scarcely remember which side they fought for.

Mórin

Formerly slaves in the Lánaraï city of Telárkharóth, they rebelled and took the city for their own. They turned from Rhïarrh to serve the Násr Móri.

Myrmaïar

A substantial subset of the Vaïar who attained a marine form and now dwell in the oceans surrounding the continent of Kheïtan.

Násr

The ruling caste of the Aëdr who forsake their physical bodies to be entombed in great machines, making them theoretically immortal.

Rhïan

The second attempt by the Lánaraï to create a subservient race was successful. While some Rhïan continue to serve, they have largely outgrown servitude through sheer numbers.

Rhïarrh

Rhïarrh was orginally one of the Násr but both lost His political status and later, his corporeal form, remaining as only a reflection in the Void.

Rhómethïan

Rhïarrh’s first experiment in creating life to fuel His armies produced the Rhómethïans. Intriguingly, they are physically similar to the Rhïan.

Vaïar

The first disastrous attempt by the Lánaraï to create a subservient race resulted in the Vaïar, a strange winged race who escaped their would-be masters.
