Asymmetricals

Asymmetricals are special because they cause an imperfection in the balance between the material world and the Void. Because of this trait, they possess a unique ability to influence reality. Some exert this force chaotically, without intent, while others can harness this capability deliberately to twist reality to meet their own desires and goals. It is hard to know which of these is the more dangerous of the two, both can have cataclysmic effects on the world around them.

There are two types of Asymmetricals. Those who have a corporeal form but have lost their reflections in the Void, and those who possess a phantasm-like presence in the Void, but have no manifestation in the physical realm.

The Star Titans

The Star Titans are chaotic corporeal asymmetricals. Their presence causes tsunami-like waves through the Void in their vicinity. Because of their massive size and density, they exert a greater gravitational force in the Void. Their sheer presence is enough to tear the Void-reflections from living beings, leaving their physical bodies as hollowed out, empty shells.

The Lulúkhaï

These sorrowful beings are the Lulúkhaï who still wander the ancient battlegrounds of the Coast of Thorns some six thousand years after the war ended. They too are asymmetricals. Though many were once mighty warriors, only the palest shadow of what they were remains. They have no will to speak of, and whatever tiny fragment of their former selves still persists is capable of little more than wandering the frozen north in a listless state, mindlessly retracing their final steps in the bitter snows. Unlike the gargantuan Star Titans, they lack the gravity to cause chaotic disturbances of any note. At worst, they cause feelings of deep unease and depression in any living beings they encounter.

Rhïarrh, The Tyrant-God

Rhïarrh is a phantasmic asymmetrical. His physical body was destroyed by the catastrophic actions of the Násr Council in the battle in orbit over Vónekh VII that ended the War In Heaven. The sheer force of will that the tyrannical Násr exerts, coupled with His infinite rage at His captivity within the Void sends black waves of brutal fury hammering against the boundary between the Void and the material realm. These concussions manifest as the Faënar, the demonic like non-beings that plague the world of Vónekh VII.

Other Known Symmetricals

Bherïn might be an asymmetrical. It is unknown what became of her when she was lost to the Phantom Nexus.

Ithakhaëron might be an asymmetrical. It is unknown what happened to him after he entered the Great Pyramid or Rhïarrh and disappeared into the Void.

Ghór is another corporeal asymmetrical. His physical self and Void-reflection were torn apart by the cataclysmic Void incursion that ended the War In Heaven. The warlike Násr was far too toughened to be toppled by even such an experience. Discarding and abandoning his Void-reflection, Ghór raced across the stars to hunt down the errant Star Titans.

Aëron-Ghór was a forged symmetrical. Aëron fused his physical self with the Void-reflection of Ghór before the Siege of Rhïanakharóth. This means there is one other possible asymmetrical, being the discarded Void-reflection that Aëron exchanged for that of the War-Násr. There are a few upon Vónekh VII including Heliorán Starstrider and the Fallen Queen herself that are rumoured to either know or suspect the fate of this discarded half, but if they truly know, they are not saying.
