Storm Guard

Shock troops of the Lánaraï army, the Storm Guard are renowned for their lightning-fast assault style and ruthless ferocity in battle. Trained to let nothing stand in the way of victory they waste little time at the strategy table, preferring to wade into action and seize the upper hand before the enemy can muster their defences. Disruptive and unruly by nature, even some of the Lánaraï nobility prefer to keep their distance from the Storm Guard. Their loyalty and long procession of victories, however, cannot be questioned.

Solossárhi

True lords of the sky, the Solossárhi are they eyes and ears of the Lánaraï army, soaring high above the battlefield to survey the enemy's positions with sharpened senses and melting into the environment to get within bowshot of their prey. Their skill with ranged weapons is honed to a deadly art form and they are as agile as they are cunning, with the ability to surprise their landlocked foes and rain fire from above or swoop down to swiftly take control of the fight.

Seraphim

Elite warriors of the Lánaraï army, the Seraphim are strength tempered with honour. Driven by a mindset of purity and unwavering in their service to Rhïarrh, these heavy combat paragons strike fearlessly and without restraint at all who threaten their brethren. Seraphim are unmatched in might, are willing to lay down their lives if it means protecting the innocent and are guardians of peace in and around all Lánaraï settlements. On the battlefield their powerful presence strikes fear into the enemy and evokes courage in fellow warriors.

Wordless

Protectors of their race's history and gnosis, the Wordless operate behind a veil of secrecy, privy to great truths - some too terrifying to reveal. As such they are a significant force behind Lánaraï advancement, but those initiated into this nebulous order must have their tongues cut out upon swearing their oath of duty to the Fire in Heaven. In their silent devotion they become aware of the voice of Rhïarrh, and through holy rites can assert His will against the Fallen on the battlefield. In combat the Wordless move with great speed, fighting with righteous clarity and purpose.

Starseers

This secretive order concerns itself with the rediscovery and preservation of ancient artefacts predating the War in Heaven. The Starseers are arcane scientists whose weapons go beyond mere blades and projectiles. With an arsenal of reverse-engineered Aëdr technology at their command they prefer to keep their distance and incinerate their enemies with starfire than to grind swords with them. Above all it is the Starseers’ holy duty to unravel the elaborate secrets of their ancestors, to ultimately realise the collective ambition of the Lánaraï and reclaim the stars.
